Curio is a versatile play centre and newly founded micro school that focuses on introducing STEAM and Play based learning to children of all ages (most specifically 0 – 12 years old!). In addition to offering a dynamic educational environment, we host a variety of community events to help foster a sense of engagement and connection with our community.

Curio Exploration Hub
March Break Camp
Embark on a thrilling journey of creativity and discovery at our March Break Camp!
Joining the worlds of Art, Science and Play, this unique camp is tailor made for young minds eager to explore, experiment and unleash their imagination.
Kiddos will get a chance to engage in hands on science experiments, unleash their artistic flair through exiting projects and watch sparks fly as we blend together the realms of creativity and curiosity.
Campers will also be given plenty of time to immerse themselves in play while they explore Curio during free play blocks each day!
Join us for a week of fun and friendship, and of course, lots of PLAY!
Summer Camp 2024
Camp at Curio is changing, and we can not wait for you to see what we are up to!
Take a good read through all of our camp details to make sure you pick the camp that works the best for your kiddo.
All camp hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm, and all campers must bring a lunch and two snacks (no food provided during the camp day).
Camp themes include: P.L.A.Y, Nature, Science, Musical Theatre and Art!

Learning Pod / Micro School
Curio is so proud to be taking a big step forward in alternative education by offering an approach to learning that differs from traditional mainstream education.
Our Learning Pod aims to cater to the individual needs, learning styles, and interests of students while still instilling a sense of routine and community.
Offered 5 days a week for students aged 4 – 14!

Preschool
We are so thrilled to host your Curious Kids as part of our pre-school programming.
A weekly drop-off program for children ages 3 – 4 years of age with a curriculum designed to introduce a variety of learning opportunities. Children will also learn valuable social skills and independence.
Our space is organized is curated with a collection of exhibits, toys and resources designed to inspire creative development and child led play.
Our weekly programming will have an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math based activities that promote inquiry based learning while providing children the opportunity for creativity, innovation and critical thinking.

Drop In Play
We are so thrilled to offer Drop In Play to our community!
Enjoy a child led fun play session at Curio! Come anytime within the time block listed.
Every child over the age of six months requires a ticket, one free adult included (extra adult tickets available for purchase in the drop down menu)
**please note that all ticket sales are final, you may transfer them to an alternative date or to a friend in the event of illness**

PLAY with Me
Through our P.L.A.Y. With Me program you and your youngest kiddos will be introduced to the world of Curio through:
Play – free play in our space with kiddos 4 years old and younger only!
Learn – each week your child will be introduced to a fun and child led learning opportunity to participate in. Activities will include; dance, song, circle time, art and more!
Get Active – during this time our space is closed to the public, so your littlest can run around to their hearts content!
Be Yourself – we always encourage kiddos to be themselves, so all activities and play sessions are child led! Kiddos have a chance to be social and creative all on their time!

After School Program
We are so thrilled to bring back our after school program!
Kiddos from West Bayfield Elementary will be able to participate in our Walking School Bus!! All other kiddos can be dropped off an picked up!
Each day kids will have a chance to play in our space, while engaging in STEAM inspired activities and crafts.
Kids may arrive at Curio at 3:30pm and pick up is no later then 5:30pm

Birthday Parties
Come and enjoy Curio for a private play session.
Host your birthday party, or just come and play with your friends!
Each booking allows 20 guests over the age of 1 years old, added charge for additional guests available, and gives you two hours in our space.
Bring in food and decorations, we will handle all the clean up!
We are closed to the public for each private booking.
Each booking is $300.00 plus tax.
Added time and guests may be purchased if needed!
