Camp Curio Summer 2024

Camp at Curio is changing, and we can not wait for you to see what we are up to!

Take a good read through all of our camp details to make sure you pick the camp that works the best for your kiddo.

All camp hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm, and all campers must bring a lunch and two snacks (no food provided during the camp day).

Camp Themes:

P.L.A.Y – this is the Camp Curio your kiddos are used to!  All of our original games and activities will be thrown in to this super fun week of PLAY!  Curio Olympics, Team Games / Challenges, Art, Science, Mindful Minute and of course Free Play!  This camp offers a little bit of everything and is excellent for ages 4 – 12!

Offered:

 July 2^nd – 4^th (3 day week, single days available)

August 19^th – 23^rd (5 day week, single days available)

$325.00 plus tax, Single Days $65.00

Nature Camp – Join us as we explore the great world around us! Kiddos will walk with camp counsellors to the yards and forest of St. Marguerite D’Youville Catholic Elementary school! We have been doing this walk with children for three years, and we know it can be concerning for parents!  But trust that this is not new to us, we have a great rhythm, routine and set of rules that are easy for kiddos to follow. Each day (weather permitting) we will enjoy a morning outdoors exploring the forest and building our connection to nature. Kids can expect to play nature inspired games, explore topics in zoology, craft outdoor structures using natural materials and enjoy free play outdoors.

Our afternoons will be spent inside Curio where we will get time to PLAY in our space and explore themed activities in Science and Art.

Space is limited to ensure proper student / teacher ratios. Geared for ages 6 – 12

Offered: July 8^th – 12^th (single days available)

Theatre Camp – It is about time we took our love for theatre to Summer Camp!!!  This is something we feel so excited to introduce to our Curio Kids who love performing!

Theatre camp will give campers a chance to engage in a handful of activities related to theatrical arts, including acting, singing and dancing.

Campers will work together in workshops and rehearsals to put on a final week performance for their families on Friday July 26th!

We will be taking 15 children who would like to perform, and 5 children who would like to be stagehands.

Theatre camp is suitable for ages 7 – 14

Offered – July 22^nd – 26^th

$325 plus tax

Science Camp – Leave the messy science stuff to us!  Every day kiddos will be able to get hands on in a variety of science experiments and activities. Slime, volcanoes, rockets and more! Full week kiddos will have a chance to even make their own Science Project to take home!!

Donated supplies are very welcome this week (oil, vinegar, baking soda, food colouring, plastic bottles, egg cartons, etc.)

Offered: July 29th – August 2nd (single days available)

Activities adjusted to suit ages 4 through 12

$325 plus tax, Single Days $70

Art Camp – This year we have explored a lot of art activities and projects and are very excited to dedicate three full days to all things ART!!!! Kiddos will get a chance to explore a range of creative activities such as painting, drawing, crafts and sculpting! Show off your artistic talents, learn new techniques and express yourself through a variety of different outlets.

Activities will range to accommodate ages 6 – 14

Offered: August 6^th – 9^th (four day week, no single days available)

$270 plus tax
